How we can work together most successfully!
Hi!
First, I wanted to thank you for subscribing to my newsletter! I’m glad you’re here :)
I’ll start with an intro then share the sources I need!
The purpose of this newsletter
I created this newsletter for a few reasons:
To help me get sources more easily
To help you all know what I’m looking for (and not looking for)
To save us both time and effort!
Know a source who fits the bill?
If you are someone or you work with someone who would be a relevant fit, this would be most helpful:
Respond to these weekly-ish emails or email me in another email thread
Provide bio information that helps me understand why the source is a good fit
If you’re a good fit and I send the questions, please send the answers by the deadline! If you can’t, please let me know ASAP :)
I would prefer if you didn’t:
Pitch me something outside of or unrelated to these requests, at least not often. I very rarely am able to accept those pitches (due to time constraints, what the publications I work with will take, etc) so I don’t want you to waste your time!
(Side note: I will say most successful pitches are offering an expert source I can talk to. However, the issue is I have so many to keep in mind, I may forget by the time I have an article I’ll need them for!)
Put my email on any lists without asking me first (though the subscription link to this newsletter is fine!)
And FYI, I basically never take:
Anything related to veganism, fad diets/Noom, weight loss, or labeling foods as “good” and “bad”
Pitches on brands/products and apps (Mostly because I don’t work with any publications right now that accept those pieces!)
Statistics/rankings/etc (unless they’re related to one of my calls for sources!)
Another way to promote yourself
